Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri has been a popular Indian actress who achieved notoriety for her roles in the films Hum Aapke Haiin Koun and Beta Saajan. Her career began in the her twenties. The role she played as Anil Kapoor in the film Tezaab made her hugely famous. Then, she starred alongside Aamir in Dil. As a child she began developing her skills at a young age. At the age of 16 She began to act and struggled for years as the majority of her early films failed. In the end, she was successful with Indian film and climbed to the top. Following her marriage she had a break in her career before re-entering the film industry. Recently, she played a major role on the film Gulaab Gang. The film was about struggles faced by women in India. Dixit was awarded 8 Filmfare Awards out of the 15 she was up for nominations. Padma Shri was awarded to her, which is the fourth-highest civil honour in India. Her fame is based on her work in the field of social service as well.
